New Orleans’ only all-sports radio station, 106.7 The Ticket, will have multiple features over the next week leading up to Drew Brees’ induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame on August 8.
“Countdown to Canton” will include nearly two dozen interviews with the top members of the Saints organization, Brees’ former teammates in New Orleans and media members who covered him.
Among the scheduled interviews are an extended chat between Cumulus Media New Orleans sports director Ken Trahan and former Saints head coach Sean Payton, who will present Brees in Canton next week.
The interviews will air during 106.7 The Ticket’s six hours of local sports talk weekdays beginning at 2 p.m. Trahan hosts All Access from 2-4 p.m., followed by Inside New Orleans with Eric Asher from 4-6 p.m., Ticket Tonight with Jude Young from 6-7 p.m., and The Deke Show with Deke Bellavia from 7-8 p.m.
Additionally, throughout the day, vignettes on the biggest moments of Brees’ career in a Saints uniform – from the day he joined the organization in 2006, to a Super Bowl title in February 2010, to his record setting milestones, to the day he retired – will be featured throughout the week.
