Minnesota Timberwolves star guard Anthony Edwards has been listed as questionable for Monday’s road playoff game against the Denver Nuggets with right knee injury maintenance.
Edwards missed 11 of the Timberwolves’ last 14 games of the regular season with right knee inflammation but did play 38 minutes of Game 1 of the team’s first-round playoff series on Saturday.
In an opening 116-105 loss to the Nuggets, Edwards scored 22 points with nine rebounds and seven assists.
Timberwolves head coach Chris Finch said Edwards looked “rusty” Saturday, while Edwards acknowledged he struggled.
“I haven’t played in like a month, month and a half, so, I was a little fatigued,” said Edwards, who also blocked three shots.
Edwards, who was named All-Star Game MVP in February, averaged 28.8 points with 5.0 rebounds and 3.7 assists in 61 games (60 starts) this season. His one game off the bench came March 30 when he played 23 minutes against the Dallas Mavericks after missing six consecutive games with his knee issue.
In six seasons, all with Minnesota, Edwards has averaged 24.6 points with 5.2 rebounds and 4.1 assists in 442 games (423 starts). He was named an All-Star in each of the past four seasons.
