The Milwaukee Brewers are calling up hard-throwing right-hander Jacob Misiorowski, their top pitching prospect, multiple outlets reported Tuesday.
He is expected make his MLB debut on Thursday in a home start against the St. Louis Cardinals, MLB.com reported.
The 6-foot-7 Misiorowski is ranked by MLB Pipeline as the No. 68 overall prospect in baseball, and the No. 4 prospect for Milwaukee.
With the Triple-A Nashville Sounds this season, the 23-year-old has a 4-2 record with a 2.13 ERA in 13 games (12 starts). In 63 1/3 innings, he has struck out 80 batters but walked 31.
The Brewers selected him in the second round of the 2022 MLB Draft out of Crowder College in Missouri.
In 223 2/3 total innings in the minors, he has an 11-9 record and a 3.04 ERA in 68 games (55 starts) and has struck out 320 batters.
His fastball can reach triple digits and has received a score of 80 — the highest possible — on the scouting scale.
